An e-track is a special rack used in securing cargo in trucks or trailers. It is usually made from steel alloy, shaped to form hinges where straps are fastened. E-tracks are usually bolted into the walls of a trailer, with multiple accessories used to hang or hold certain objects down for security.

One of the most common accessories used with e-tracks are customized straps, able to pin down a large item when secured tightly. Other clip-on tools used are hooks, rings, fittings, Velcro, and even other e-tracks to safely hold an item when being transported.

Installing e-tracks in a truck is simple but usually takes time, as e-tracks often come in different sizes, depending on the truck being used. Bolts, nuts, and screws used to attach the e-track must also be as durable since the device might become useless if not installed using proper materials or methods.

Like the e-track, the straps and other accessories come in different forms, usually depending on the item need to be secured. Smaller items only need hooks and rings, while very large objects like desks should be strapped down.

E-tracks are very common for transportation and trucking, with companies purchasing at least two per truck. Their use is quite advantageous despite the existence of other security measures. The sturdiness of the metal tool, combined with its flexible function makes the e-track one of the most sought-after devices.
